Sunshine was adopted by Wayne and I on 03-02-03 and is about 2 years old.  I found her outside meowing real pittiful like one night.  Of course I put some food down for her.  But when I saw just how hungry she was I knew right away that she was a stray.  Poor baby, when I picked her up after she was done eating she just purred and purred!!!  It had been raining lots and was fixing to rain again so of course I just brought her inside.  I put her in the spare bedroom with water, food and litter box.  Well she curled up on the bed and was sound asleep in no time.  The next day I took her to the vet for a check up.  That morning the sun was shining again and we decided to call her Sunshine!  The vet said she was about 2 years old, had ear mites, but was otherwise ok.  When we got home I cleaned her up a bit as she was all muddy.    She sure does brighten up my days and is so very gentle and loving.  But she eats constantly as she still remembers being hungry, poor baby.

Just have a few photos of her right now but will have more soon.
And one is just a web cam shot so not very good.

These are thumbnails so click for a larger view.

This shows her in the
middle of a Meow!

Close up of our
newest fur baby.

Not a good pic as the flash
reflects on the yellow fur.

Humm.... that
looks interesting!

Oh boy, chocolate!!!
It's my favorite kind.

Oh well enough of that,
time to go eat again.

These are blurry but put them on here anyhow.  Its also hard to tell what is Sunny and what is the yellow cat on the rug!

Below is a poem that Wayne wrote for Sunshine.

  Our Sunshine

Our funny little Sunshine,
with your soft and golden fur.
I'm so glad you came to us,
from wherever lost you were.

You brighten up our home now,
like sunshine's golden rays.
Our silly little Sunshine
we love to watch you play.

You run and race all over the house,
your black fur mouse it flys.
Your balls you widely scatter,
with laughter in your eyes.

But when you're softly sleeping,
upon your special bed.
There is a golden halo,
right were you rest you head.

You dream of all the fun you had,
and tomorrows fun to come.
Sleep well our golden angel
our precious little ray of Sun!
