The Pond Kitties

 

Kiki Cat She is our oldest cat at age 17 and I got her as a tiny kitten from a local vet.  She is a sweetie but somewhat scared of the other cats.  I have to feed her seperately from the others.

Sunshine She showed up here about starved to death but is now fat, fluffy and a love bug.  She has a white bib, white mittens on the front paws and white boots on the back ones. Very loveable and sweet.

Oliver Oliver was a was seperated from his owner during Hurricane Katrina and we adopted him.  After months of searching I finally found his owner but she informed me she didn't want him and to keep him or have him put to sleep.  Of course we kept him!

T-Boy Another adopted cat from Hurricane Katrina.  He was a kitten when rescued but we got him from the local shelter when he was about 3 months old.  He loves to have his belly rubbed.

Gabby Another Katrina cat and he was raised in the same cage as T-Boy.  The shelter ask me one day to just take them home for the weekend so they could run and play.  Yeah right... once they got here they never left again.  Of course we had to adopt both of them.  And yes he does "talk" all the time!

Grumbles He showed up here one rare day that it snowed.  He was very thin and had been mistreated and on his own for several years.  I found all this out later on.  I opened the door and let him in and he has been here ever since.  He lived up to that name at first but has settled down some now but it took about a year before he really trusted us.  He has kidney problems and is on special food.  He hates the camea so this is the best photo of him that I have.

Joseph Another stray that just showed up.  Found him under the neighbors storage shed and he was in bad shape.  Seems he had walked in some hot asphalt at some point and his poor paws were in horrid condition.  I took him to the vet the next day, had him fixed, and while he was drugged the doctor got most of the asphalt off of them.  Had to treat his paws for some time before they finally healed.  And he has huge paws!  Actually he a big but solid cat that has a bulldog type body!  He weights 26 lbs and is a big love bug.  Btw.... He is named after Joe, but his full name is Joseph Walker.  He loves to sit in the kitchen on a stool and talk to me while I cook.

Dandy He was dumped off at my sisters house along with his brother Sandy when they were about 10 weeks old.  She is allergic to cats so begged me to adopt them.  Told her ok but she would be responsible for their medical bills.  She agreed so we went and got them.  The photos I have of them are a couple of years old.  Now Dandy is weighting in at 22 lbs.  He is a big lovable boy.

Sandy Sandy is of course Dandy's brother.  They don't look alike at all.  Sandy is much smaller, about the size of and average kitty.  His coat is not stripped except on his paws.  It is more the color of a brown sandy beach.  Hence the name.  What a big love bug this one is.  He wants to lay in my arms like a baby to sleep anytime he thinks he can "talk" me into it.  He sleeps next to me every night.
