Parade Info

For every year, except 1992, the Sorrento Lions Club has held a parade down Main Street on the Saturday morning of the Boucherie Festival. The parade features the Boucherie queens from all the age brackets; local dignitaries; local fire and police vehicles; marching bands; a Grand Marshal (or even Marshals); and just about any one else who wants to participate.
Our previous Grand Marshals have included Louisiana sports stars; journalists; businessmen; and important contributors to Sorrento and/or the Boucherie Festival. A list of our past Grand Marshals can be found on this page (updated November 26, 2007).

Parade Route
The map below shows the route of the parade. The parade will be Saturday, October 11th. It begins in the parking lot of St. Anne's Catholic Church at 10:00 am, and ends in Reynolds Lambert Park, outside the Ascension Civic Center, where the Boucherie Festival is held.

If you would like to participate in the parade, you can contact us below, or just show up the day of the parade. There is no fee to participate. You need to bring your own candy or other goodies to throw.
We are always in need of convertibles or fancy trucks for our queens and other parade guests to ride in. If you have a car or truck you would like to show off, please contact us below.
