An open letter to Roger Waters:

Dear Mr. Waters,
The news that you were adding a second leg to your ITF tour and including New Orleans, LA on the schedule was great news to this 42 yr. old family man. Neither the P&C or Radio Kaos tours had stopped in our wonderful city. I made plans to insure I would get the best seats possible. The first morning of tickets sales, I was elated to have secured floor seats on row 6.
About a week passed, in which my brothers and I spent each day rejoicing in our good fortune, when the bad news came. The show had been cancelled!!!! I could list a string of adjectives describing I how I felt, but suffice to say I was disappointed.
A wife, three kids, and job, pretty much negated any thoughts of a road trip. So, I'd have to relish in my memories of seeing the original ITF tour in 1977 (when I caught you and your former bandmates in Baton Rouge), I thought. Then it hit me!!!!! Write a letter explaining my dilemma and post it on the web. Roger is bound to read it, I thought, and he will sennd me a couple of tickets to one of his shows. I even figured you'd probably just fly me in, make sure I get front row seats and we'd get together after the show for some dinner and light conversation.
Now, I certainly don't want you to think that any of this has to be done just because YOU cancelled your original plans. This is simply some thoughts I had about how to correct an unfortunate situation. Mull it over, and let me know what you think. If you have a better idea, like maybe we get together for the Vegas show, do a little gambling at night, some golf during the day?......Seriously, whatever works best for you. I'm a little flexible and you got a schedule to meet (New Orleans, not withstanding).
Anyway, if you've got this far, you know how to reach me. Drop me a line, I wanted to talk to you about some album cover ideas I have, anyway.

Take care,
Dana
