Abbreviations you will probably never see in a catalog:
MM - mini mini - so small that the flower can't be seen, much less photographed - a stealth daylily!
SDD - Super Deluxe Daylily - It's price is at least more than $250. or more!
LE - a leaner - You can't tell which bed it's planted in.
VFC - variable form cultivar - always a surprise
RD - red dripper - The red blooms drip substance starting at around 11 AM
FI - Fast increaser - unfortunately no other redeeming qualities
BBB - Bud building beauty - Great buds, they just don't open.
LBB - low basal branching - Branching so low that you can't see the blooms because of the foliage, but blooms not bothered by hot sun.
EHS - Extra heavy substance - so heavy, that the blooms make a noise when they fall off the plants in the evening.
