23. David Thomason³ Barton (Stephen², ¹) (#229) was born in Hall Co, Ga June 1, 1829. David died April 1, 1914 in Upshur Co, Tx, at 84 years of age. His body was interred in Little Mound Cem, Upshur Co, Tx.

He married Melinda Jane George in Murray Co, Ga, May 14, 1848. (Melinda Jane George is #514.) Melinda was born in Ga February 8, 1827. Melinda died October 26, 1901 in Upshur Co, Tx, at 74 years of age. Her body was interred in Little Mound Cem, Upshur Co, Tx. !1880 Census Upshur Co. v31, ed 114, s14, l34

David Thomason Barton and Melinda Jane George had the following children:

148 v. Malinda Catherine Barton (#837). She married William Franklin James. (William Franklin James is #841.)

149 vi. Tom J. Barton (#838).

150 vii. Mary Eliza Barton (#839). She married James Rufus Langford. (James Rufus Langford is #842.)

151 viii. David Alexander Barton (#836) was born in Tx February 1859. He married an unknown person in Tx, 1882.
