131. Jose⁴ Barton (Reuben Wesley³, Henry², ¹) (#19) was born in Ark November 27, 1876. Jose died March 11, 1951 at 74 years of age.

She married Elias Jackson Safrit October 23, 1896. (Elias Jackson Safrit is #40.) Elias was born in Ill May 11, 1876. Elias was the son of E. J. Safrit and Nancy Jane Hubbard. !1900 census in Washington Co Ark. Vol 40 Ed 100 Sheet 1 Line 18.

Jose Barton and Elias Jackson Safrit had the following children:

332 i. Bessie⁵ Safrit (#169) was born in Ark September 17, 1897. Bessie died March 27, 1898 in Ark, at less than one year of age.

+ 333 ii. Claud Safrit was born March 20, 1899.

+ 334 iii. Iva Safrit was born May 14, 1901.

+ 335 iv. Reuben Wesley Safrit was born January 10, 1903.

+ 336 v. Thelma Safrit was born October 10, 1905.⁽¹²⁾
