PASSPORT INFORMATION

The Clerk of Court is an acceptance agent for Passport Services.
Applications for new passports, renewals and amendments may be
obtained from our office. New passports must be processed by the
Clerk of Court or the Passport Agency. Renewals may be completed
and mailed by the applicant.

Passport fee for new applicants 16 years of age or older is $67.00 plus a
$30.00 processing fee. The $67.00 fee must be check or money order
payable to U.S. Department of State. The $30.00 fee can be cash or
check payable to Clerk of Court. In most cases, the passport will be
valid for 10 years.

For applicants under age 16, the passport fee is $52.00 plus the
processing fee of $30.00. The passport will be valid for 5 years.

A certified copy of applicant's birth certificate or previously issued

passport, valid driver's license and two passport photos are required to
process the application.

Since Hurricane Katrina, it takes approximately 40 working days for you
to receive your passport.
